AI R&D: Beyond Arts Funding

A practical webinar exploring the use of AI in the creative and cultural sector and the funding opportunities available. Presentation, discussion and Q&A with representatives from ACE, Innovate UK Business Connect and Jesse James Agency.

With artists and arts organisations increasingly engaging with AI technologies – from creative practice to the management of organisations –  the question is: how can we invest in AI research and development?

Delivered in partnership with Arts Council England, AI R&D: Beyond Arts Funding is for anyone interested in funding opportunities available to creative professionals and cultural organisations to support AI-driven innovation in response to this rapidly evolving field.

The webinar begins with Oonagh Murphy, from Arts Council England discussing how ACE uses AI strategies internally.  She also moves beyond the hype to explore what these technologies already mean for the creative and cultural sector.

We then hear from Emma Cooper at Innovate UK who talks about how her team works with the cultural and creative sector; Nema Hart at ACE talks about inclusive innovation in the areas of R&D, and finally Jesse Ringham from Jesse James Agency discusses how we can use technology and AI to get more people into art. We end the session with an audience Q&A.

This webinar explores what AI means for the cultural sector and how its development might be funded.  It is for anyone interested in AI technologies from creative practice to the management of organisations.
