Demystifying Due Diligence

Learn about due diligence, what it involves and how cultural and creative organisations can be more empowered to go through this process. Presentation and Q&A with Seva Phillips, of Arts & Culture Finance, and Jay Haigh, of Can't Sit Still.

The concept of ‘due diligence’ seems to go hand-in-hand with raising investment – but what exactly does it mean? What does it involve and how can arts & culture organisations be more empowered to go through this process?

In this webinar and Q&A we were joined by Jay Haigh, of Can’t Sit Still, as we explored:

  • Why social investors undertake due diligence and why it might be helpful for your organisation
  • What information investors need to see & how to prepare for this
  • Relevant documentation – cashflow forecasts, management accounts, business plans, social impact reports
  • Common issues or challenges that arise during the due diligence process and how organisations can best prepare for these

By the end of the webinar, we hoped that participants would be in a stronger position to begin conversations with social investors and have firmer control of their business processes.
