The Power of Place: Cultural Philanthropy in 2026

Discover how place-based cultural philanthropy is driving meaningful change across the UK. The Power of Place is our second national philanthropy conference, bringing together cultural leaders, philanthropists, and change-makers to explore the power of place-based philanthropy in the arts.
Delegates will hear from Paul Callaghan CBE of Sunderland Culture as he delivers a keynote on philanthropy’s vital role in cultural regeneration. An expert panel will tackle Lessons from the Front Line, chaired by Moira Sinclair, Chair of Factory International, and including Alex Day (Big Give), Nicky Twemlow (Stoke Creates), and Dave Moutrey OBE (Manchester City Council).
The afternoon will offer dynamic discussion, valuable networking, and the opportunity to share best practice with peers who are shaping the future of cultural philanthropy.

The Power of Place is produced by Figurative Philanthropy for Arts and Culture (FPAC).
FPAC is responsible for Figurative’s philanthropy development programmes. FPAC’s work focuses on researching and developing means of attracting new philanthropy into the arts and culture sector, alongside supporting arts leaders to feel confident seeking philanthropic giving and developing a range of funding sources for their work.
