Take part in our survey to help shape the future of arts finance

Take part in our short survey as Figurative looks to develop a new type of finance for the cultural and creative sector. Win a £250 donation to a charity of your choice.

Figurative is exploring a new type of repayable finance for arts and culture organisations in the UK — one where repayments are linked to future trading income, rather than fixed monthly amounts as with traditional loans. So when income is lower, repayments are lower; when it is higher, repayments are higher.

We want to understand whether this kind of flexible finance could help the sector.

About the survey

Our short survey takes 10–15 minutes to complete and is aimed at senior staff or trustees with oversight of finances and/or earned income, including Chief Executive, Artistic Director, Executive Director, Finance Director, Commercial Director or equivalent.

The survey closes 5pm, Friday 8th May 2026.

Why take part?

Your responses will help determine whether and how this type of finance is developed for the cultural and creative sector.  Figurative exists to support the sector and is exploring innovative new ways of helping to build its financial resilience.

One respondent will be randomly selected to receive a £250 donation to a charity of their choice, nominated at the end of the survey.

All individual responses are treated confidentially – only aggregated findings will be shared, unless you explicitly agree to be contacted.

Thank you for your time and for supporting the future of arts and culture finance.
