Applications for the 2025 campaign are now open
The Arts for Impact match funding campaign has been jointly developed by New Philanthropy for Arts & Culture and Big Give. The inaugural campaign ran in March 2024 and raised £2.85m for 238 organisations.
Arts for Impact will be running again in 2025, and is now open for applications from arts and culture charities. The closing date for applications is 18 December 2024 and the campaign week takes place 18–25 March 2025.
Charities interested in applying should have arts and culture as their core mission and be looking for funds to support transformational impact for the people engaging with the charity. Please see the Big Give website to find out more and sign up.
More about the campaign
The inaugural Arts for Impact match funding campaign was held in March 2024. A partnership between New Philanthropy for Arts & Culture (NPAC) and the Big Give, the campaign supports arts and culture charities working to deliver societal impact across the UK, with the public’s generosity multiplied through the scheme. Donations to the participating charities are doubled by the Big Give’s Arts for Impact match fund, which is supported generous ‘champions’, typically philanthropists, foundations or companies.
Over the seven days of the Arts for Impact challenge in 2024, £2.85m was raised for 238 arts and culture charities across the UK. We are looking to increase this amount to £3m in 2025.
The 2024 campaign saw:
- £1.3m match funding available from 26 funders and philanthropists
- £2.85m raised for 238 arts and culture charities
- 66% of charities supported had an annual income of less than £1m
- 12,386 donations from members of the public
- 56% of donations were from new supporters
- 76% of funding went to fund activities outside London
