Seva Phillips

Director of International Advisory at Figurative

Seva leads Figurative’s international advisory practice, supporting governments, funders and cultural leaders worldwide to design and deliver impact investment initiatives in the cultural and creative sectors. He brings deep expertise in connecting capital with creativity, shaped by years managing impact funds in the UK and advising international partners.

He is the co-author of Setting the Stage: A Guide to Creating Impact Investment Initiatives in the Cultural and Creative Sectors (2025) and Impact Investing in the Cultural and Creative Sectors (2023), both of which have helped shape the emerging global field.

Previously Figurative’s Chief Innovation Officer, Seva has also held roles at the UK’s innovation agency Nesta, the Charities Aid Foundation and the Young Foundation. He is a Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellow, recognised for his work looking at international blended finance models.

Seva began his career at professional services firm EY and has degrees in political philosophy and economics.  He is interested in ideas and actions that can bring about positive social change and is interested in music production and literature.
